Over the past week I’ve been thinking how nuts this whole training regime is – in a good way.
Last October I was training for the Cardiff Half Marathon – and at the time thought I was nuts for doing it. It was a challenge and I wondered if I would finish it. I cried when I crossed the finish line. It was an achievement that I am extremely proud of.
Now as I train for the Paris Marathon I’ve been running half marathon distances (and more) every Sunday for the past 5/6 weeks. I’ve also taken part in two further organised half marathons. Nuts.
In two weeks (April 6) I will take part in the Paris Marathon. My first Marathon. Once again I know that the tears will flow when I cross that finish line.
It’s all a bit nuts!
