After the Cardiff Half Marathon I took the decision to hang up my shoes until after Christmas and focus on circuit training to lose a bit more weight and improve my core muscles. I would then start again in the new year with a fitter, stronger body.
Then I entered the ASICS 26.2 Target competition with Runners World magazine. I honestly didn’t think I’d have a hope in hell of getting through the bootcamp stage but I’ve only gone and done it!
At the end of November I will be travelling to Birmingham to take part in the ASICS 26.2 Bootcamp – 50 runners from across the UK all aiming to be the 5 chosen ones.
I’ve not idea what to expect. I didn’t expect to get this far but now that I am, I’d love to go further. Fingers crossed I’ll reach Paris.
